Reedmeisters
Just slightly south of the infamous line of college clubs called the ''Highland Strip,'' you will find this bar is anything but off the beat and track. Formerly called The Daily Planet, the club is a staple in the nightlife of the local university scene. Inside, the bar is comfortable, its walls sprawled with murals of multigenerational comic legend Superman. Open everyday, the club provides weekly band performances, songwriter’s night on Sundays, open mike on Wednesdays, dancing and, of course, the best in the choice beers of the college-aged drinker. Come for the music or come for the beer, this is the place to be. -- Julie E. Holt |

Sponsorship Opportunities
With the upcoming Softball Season, there are a lot of opportunities to help create and promote Memphis Area Gay Athletics. Sponsorship is also a great way to create loyal customers and positive community feedback.
Sponsorship of the Bluff City Sports Organization and of its leagues provide an opportunity to allow people in the community who love athletics, play them in an atmosphere that allows them to also be themselves. Many of the previous year's teams did not strictly consist of members of the GLBT community. It also consisted of their family members, co-workers, friends and loved ones. While Bluff City Sports feels that we need to promote the GLBT community at large, we also need to provide some building blocks for bridging the many communities that make up Shelby county.
Sponsorship comes in a variety of forms, a person or business can sponsor a team on a league or make a donation to the organization (thus providing much needed equipment, reducing costs on many other aspects of league coordination). League sponsorship allows us to keep registration costs down, provide water and shelter during games, etc. Levels of sponsorship may vary, but all forms of sponsorship are appreciated and welcome.
